Abstract
The nervous system is one of the most important systems of the human body. It receives information from the internal and external environment, processes it, and coordinates the responses of the body. The nervous system consists of the central nervous system, which includes the brain and spinal cord, and the peripheral nervous system, which includes nerves and ganglia. It plays a major role in movement, sensation, memory, learning, emotions, and the regulation of many internal organs. This article describes the basic structure and functions of the nervous system and explains its significance in medical education and healthcare. Understanding the nervous system is essential for recognizing neurological symptoms, supporting diagnosis, and providing appropriate patient care.
